Random Post
Well..I guess I have been neglecting my blog for awhile now so here goes..
What have I been doing some might ask, well I have been dragged away from my PC/Freedom and forced to join SG govt in defending singapore?:S
and I have been posted to Airforce as a FDS?haha..imagine that
and that's not the best part, I have been selected to be part of RSAF Guard of Honour contingent during NDP. Heh try your best to imagine that.
Oh yeah today was Earth Hour and I still couldn't figure out what the heck is the big deal an hour of darkness will not help in the long run? There are many people out there that blogs promoting this event but seriously are they doing it?I don't think so.
My philosophy is this, We human inhabit this planet to make use of the resources it has and all this talk of saving it to me is hypocritical.
Don't get me wrong yes we should be saving our planet but there are much better way to go about doing it instead of just switching off your lights for 1 hour are you sure it will help much?
Tomorrow we go back to our old habits of wasting and whatsnot.
If we really want to do more for the environment maybe we should consider switching to other source of energy which I feel not enough efforts/money has been put into it as long we still have fossil fuel that will always be the easiest way out.
but oh well what would I know, I have lost all my common sense and brain in the army.

Why the goverment should allow polygamy.
Why Singapore Goverment should allow Polygamy.

The term Polygamy is define by the dictionary as : The practice or condition of having more than one spouse, esp. wife, at one time.
The current sex ratio in singapore
15-64 years: 0.95 male(s)/female meaning for every 1000 female there are 950 male and the ratio is still dropping.
If that trends continue say for the next 10 years we will be talking in an age where there will not be enough male for every female out there.
What does this mean for the future? It could mean that there could be a higher number of lesbian out there which will inturn lead to even lower birth rate and causing more number of single-person household.
Then there is also the growing energy crisis. There is a report out there that states that Single uses up more energy and land then a family is therefore environmental unfriendly.
For example, If people out there are not planning to get married, They will each require their own house(which takes up land), the energy they consume are also higher.
SUMMARY OF THE REPORT:
The growth of single-person households is also damaging the environment. Research published in the journal Environment, Development and Sustainability found that:
- One-person households are the biggest consumers of energy, land and household goods, such as washing machines, refrigerators, TVs and stereos, per capita
- They consume 38% more products, 42% more packaging, 55% more electricity and 61% more gas per capita than four-person households
- People living alone create 1½ tons of waste annually compared with a ton by those in households of four or more
So what solution are avalible to us?
1) Follow what the villagers in Rural China do, Kill the baby girl if they are born.
PRO : decrease the number of females drastically to match the number of male.
CON : Might work too well and instead cause a higher amount of male which brings us back to Gay issue etc.
CON : This is sexism and is wrong.
CON : Baby even unborn are alive and deserve a chance to live.
CON : Hard to implement.
2) Abolish Bi-Gamy and embrace polygamy.
PRO : Put more people in a single household thus conserving energy.
PRO : There will be someone for everyone.
PRO : It might solve the population crisis by creating bigger family.
CON : Bigger household = Harder to maintain
CON : Long term, there might be alot of incest due to polygamy.
Therefore i suggest option number 2. As it will be easy to implement, As the final choice is still dependant on the male and female, if they are willing to accept such an arrangment.

Purpose?
bored at home..
realized i am starting to think and rant alot to myself?having fucked up question. questioning myself.
I am turning 20 soon and I still don't know what i want in my life. I got accepted into NUS Commons Engineering but is that what i really want?
My parents are telling me to go overseas to study and I was weighing my options "Should I stay or Go" and I realized after 10+ years of being in singapore there is NO ONE/NOTHING that makes me want to stay in this place. The goverment is over-bearing, the people has a different mindset then me and the restriction.
So if I go overseas I face another problem, What course to take and here is where my parents are divided(perfect timing to be divided?*sarcasm*)
My mum wants me to go into accounting or banking
My dad wants me to go into engineering or technology or science
each and every of their arguments makes sense which is bad news.
In banking/accounting the work might start off hard at first, but the promotion and pay will raise fast and the work gets easier. Plus you don't have to constantly study about latest development in technology.
In Technology/Science/Engineering the turnover rate ain't high like banking, the work is fairly divided over number of years working and the money is good too. just that they have slower pay raise, promotion ain't frequent.
Recently I have been having weird thoughts about self-destructing, Less things to think/worry about. What the hell is my purpose on earth? I seems to be sliding along not doing super well but not without options too. It seems easier to just start taking drugs and get arrested or just shoplift. You know the works.
recently this friend of mine just passed away. Just when everything seems to be going well for him.
Recently graduated from University of Stanford, Headhunted by Goldman Sachs. Got engaged to his superhot girlfriend of 8 years.
When he just suddenly passed away in bed with no conclusion to actual cause of death.
Makes me wonder why I should work so hard if anyone can just die like that with a snap of a finger. Just give up and let the universe straighten itself out for you seems like a good option does it not?
Food for thought : You are on a bus and you are seated next to this person when the seats infront of you emptys. Do you
A) Jump to the empty seats infront, You love to sit by yourself
B) Stay in that seat, You are afraid that the person next to you might feel inferior

I AM NOT DEAD
now now..calm down my readers..
i am not dead as some of the sources have been spreading.
just irritated by this world and the lack of topics to blog about..
then i thought of it..
ever realized that you don't fully know a person even if you known the person for a long time and you feel that you understand the person and the qualities that makes him/her a nice person to talk to?
well..recently i discovered that this friend i have, that i thought to be fairly independent, that doesn't need to depend on another guy or listen to him and that she can think for herself.
to my surprise/dismay when going out with her and her boyfriend i realized that she changed her voice when talking to him to those whinny and needy voice doing things that she normally won't do in the past all cause of the boyfriend.
now i am not saying she should always fight with the boyfriend but isn't changing your voice a tad too much?when i was with them there was like 2 girls one talking to me the other talking to the boyfriend.
While they were discussing stuff i realized what she is doing is what she normally won't do.
Do all girls change after getting the person they like?
i feel that this is demeaning to females around the world, when a guy can actually cause such a big change in another girl.
Thoughts/Comments welcome.
